Gurugram: Four, including a teenager, charred after fire breaks out in a house in Saraswati enclave – Gurgaon News

Four people, including a minor, died in a fire at their home in Gurugram’s Saraswati enclave, police said on Saturday.

The incident took place on Friday evening when the victims were sleeping in the same room. Other family members were in an adjacent room at the time.

The deceased have been identified as Aman (17), Sahil (22), Noor Alam (27) and Mohammad Mushtaq (28). All were residents of Bihar and lived together in the rented room. Aman was a student of class 10, while the other victims worked as tailors at a garment export company.

Initial investigations indicate that a short circuit may have caused the fire, which spread quickly, filling the room with smoke and eventually claiming their lives, said police inspector Sandeep Kumar.

However, local residents claimed that the fire brigade arrived about 30 minutes after the warning, despite the fire station being only 500 meters away.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a house near Basai Road in Gurugram. However, so far there have been no casualties.
