Banksy claimed the third artwork on his Instagram on Wednesday

Banksy has released a new artwork in London, marking the third piece in a new animal-themed collection – this time featuring monkeys.

It is the third black silhouette composition the Bristol-based street artist has claimed credit for since Monday.

On Wednesday, he posted a picture on Instagram monkeys appearing to be swinging across a bridge at an east London tube station.

It is located on a bridge over Brick Lane, near a vintage clothes shop and cafe, not far from Shoreditch High Street.

He did not write any captions for any of the Instagram posts, fueling online speculation about their meaning.

Three monkeys have been associated with the Japanese proverb “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.”

In Banksy’s works, the monkeys do not cover their eyes, ears or mouths.
