Federal Ammunition Launches New Fused-Tip Rifle Loads

Federal Ammunition’s Fusion line needs no introduction. It has a reputation as an effective game-killing load, featuring a soft-point bullet with a copper jacket “electrochemically” bonded to the lead core. The latest iteration of the family is a line of Fusion Tipped ammunition, which adds a polymer tip for improved ballistic coefficient. Federal also claims that the polymer tip does not alter the expansion and weight retention characteristics of the parent bullet design.
