A woman has claimed the magician sexually assaulted her on his private island in 2007. Her lawyers say he was falsely accused

Lacey Carroll went straight to Harborview Medical Center after landing in Seattle following a three-day stay on David Copperfield’s private island in the Bahamas. It was August 2007, and according to police records, she was seeking treatment for sexual assault.

The 20-year-old later told Seattle police and in court documents that she had embarked on a long trip to Musha Cay — the Bahamian islands that Copperfield allegedly bought for $50 million in 2006 — because she had been offered promotional and modeling work there with a team of others. Instead, she was left alone with Copperfield and a few members of his team. Copperfield allegedly raped and assaulted her multiple times.
