First warning weather: wind increases and temperatures drop

ROCHESTER, NY – A compact area of low pressure and cold front passing through Monday evening will increase our winds and drop our temperatures Monday evening.

The wind will temporarily blow between 30 and 40 degrees, but will decrease slightly again on Monday. Monday morning temperatures will drop back into the 30s and we will see scattered rain showers overnight. Tuesday will be a cold day with highs around 40 degrees, but we will also see a lot of sunshine return quickly in the morning hours. Wednesday will be calm and dry with mostly sunny skies.

The remnants of what was Hurricane Rafael will be swept up and try to bring us some rain by Thursday, but the bulk of the precipitation will likely move south. Overall our work will be fairly quiet once we get past the wind and showers of the first week.

The weekend is also looking pretty good, with partly cloudy skies and seasonal temperatures in the low 50s on both Saturday and Sunday. There is a small chance of showers on Sunday. So right now the Bills vs. Kansas City matchup looks pretty decent, but stay tuned as this is still almost a week away.
