The Lion King land has been added to the Disney Adventure World model

New Pride Lands inspired by “The Lion King” have been added to the Disney Adventure World model on display at D23: the ultimate event for Disney fans.

The model debuted on the first day of the event with a few mysteriously empty plots of land. There are still a few blank areas left, but the Pride Lands fill a large void near World of Frozen.

The “Lion King” land was announced during the Disney Experiences Showcase Saturday night and added to the model Sunday morning. It will feature a log-course with Pride Rock atop a hill. The land will also feature shops, restaurants and character meet-and-greets.

This model of the entire park shows the large exhibit building behind Pride Rock, obscured by a hillside façade. A separate, more detailed model of the Pride Lands was also unveiled.

Pride Lands is located at the edge of Adventure Bay, the focal point of the park’s major expansion. The park is currently called Walt Disney Studios Park but will become Disney Adventure World when Adventure Bay and World of Frozen open.

Disney has not given a timeline for when Pride Lands will open, but it will likely be after World of Frozen.

Adventure Bay will also feature the Regal View Restaurant and Lounge, Rapunzel’s Tangled Spin, gardens and a new nighttime show.
