Man killed in crash in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash at 1:26 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10

Virginia State Police are investigating a crash on Booker T. Washington Hwy, just north of Harmony School Road.

According to Virginia State Police, a driver of a 2012 Honda Accord was traveling north on the highway. Police said the driver ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, Tyler Austin Wade Hale-Camp, 29, of Hardy, died at the scene. Police said he was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash is still under investigation.
