1968 Chevrolet C10 Vortec Pickup for sale on BaT Auctions – ending 20th August (lot #159,334)

This 1968 Chevrolet C10 is a short-bed pickup truck that was purchased by the seller in 2023 and was subsequently modified with a 5.3L Vortec V8 and a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. The truck was repainted gray and white after the body work was completed, and additional equipment includes a black cloth bench seat, power steering, front disc brakes, 15-inch Rally wheels, an aftermarket steering wheel, and a retro-style stereo. This C10 is now offered with parts receipts and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The truck was repainted Quantum Gray with Off-White lower accents in 2024. The seller states that rust has been repaired and sheet metal has been replaced where necessary, and a replacement windshield, bed floor, tailgate, bed side panels, and inner wheel wells have been installed along with a replacement rear bumper, seals, emblems, trim, and taillights.

The 15-inch Rally wheels with a black finish are mounted on 235/75 Michelin tires. The truck is equipped with power steering and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The brake booster and master cylinder were replaced during construction. The truck has been lowered.

The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in black tweed fabric and fitted with lap belts. The matching upholstery extends to the door panels and colour-matched carpets have also been fitted along with a retro-style radio with auxiliary input. A sound deadening system has been added to the interior. A replacement wiring harness was fitted during the build and the ECU is mounted under the dash while the fuses and relays are housed in the glove box.

The Forever Sharp steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and frames a 100-mph speedometer, tachometer, and fuel gauge. The speedometer is inoperative, and the five-digit odometer reads 26,000 miles, though total mileage is unknown.

The 5.3L Vortec V8 was reportedly taken from a 2002 Suburban and installed in a 2024 with dual electric fans and a standalone wiring harness.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission.
