Police are investigating the incident in Weir Views

Police are investigating an incident in Melbourne’s west and are advising some residents in the suburb of Weir Views to stay indoors.

Police have asked residents near Leon Drive to “stay indoors” until they are told it is safe to leave. “We will provide further information as it becomes available,” a police statement said.

A police media spokeswoman said the communications unit had been advised to advise residents to stay in their homes but had not been informed why.
