Man killed and two injured in triple shooting in Essex

ESSEX, Md. – A man was fatally shot and two others were injured in a triple shooting in Essex on Saturday afternoon, according to Baltimore County police.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 800 block of Bayner Road on November 9, 2024 around 3:00 PM. When they arrived, they found a man with fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two additional victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said Sunday. Authorities have not released any further details about the identities of the victims or the circumstances leading up to the shooting.

According to police, the suspect fled the area after the shooting. Officials described the incident as isolated and stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.
