Taylor Swift Reportedly Wants Travis Kelce to Be ‘So Much More Than Just a Muse’ — Here’s How

Travis Kelce is adding even more to his resume thanks to Taylor Swift. What’s next after trying acting and signing sponsorship deals? Music. The NFL player is said to be getting involved in the “Quinzena” singer’s “creative life.”

Swift wants Kelce involved in her ‘creative life’

The 35-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player is exploring his musical side with the help of his Grammy-winning girlfriend. According to Life & Style magazine, Swift, 34, wants Kelce, 35, to be a part of her music career. Not just joining her on stage like he did over the summer for the Eras tour, but being involved in the creative process – songwriting.

“She loves the idea of integrating Travis into her creative life. He has already inspired her a lot. He is definitely her new muse,” said a source. “But she thinks he has the potential to be much more than just a muse.”

Kelce, they continued, “has a really good natural rhythm and eye for lyrics. She’s convinced he’s the kind of person who would flourish in the studio.”

If “So High School” is anything to go by — one of two tracks on “The Tortured Poets Department” that many fans believe is about Kelce — it has already inspired lyrics. At one point in the track, Swift apparently made reference to Kelce, who joked that she “is a hero, but this time with an ‘E’”.

‘Musically Gifted’ Travis Is Writing Song Lyrics With Taylor

Kelce’s talents extend beyond the football field as far as Swift is concerned. She, the source said, thinks he has “obvious” musical talents.

“Sports has always been such a big focus for Travis that he hasn’t had time to develop all of his other talents,” the source said. “But it’s obvious to Taylor that he is musically talented and has a natural ear. And she wants to be the one to help take that away from him.”

“Taylor doesn’t impose artistic limits on herself,” they added. “And she doesn’t see why Travis should be put in a box. She wants him to be a part of every aspect of her life, and he’s all for it.”

They also shared that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end “has already started writing lyrics” with Swift. Plus, they’re “going into the studio to have fun.” (I hope Swift releases a follow-up to her 2020 album Miss American documentary about her and Kelce’s time in the studio.)

Travis Kelce will work on Taylor Swift’s next album

The source added that Kelce will, in some capacity, work with Swift on new music. “Fans should expect it to be included on their next album in one way or another,” they said. “The sky is the limit for these two.”

Will it be a ballad like “Champagne Problems,” the track from the “Evermore” album that Swift collaborated on with her ex-boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn? Or maybe a “1989”-type bop? (The album is one of Kelce’s favorites.) Only time will tell.

For now, Kelce’s main focus is football as the Chiefs attempt a three-win Super Bowl season. (As of this writing, they are undefeated.) Meanwhile, Swift is preparing for the final leg of her Eras world tour. Shows resume on October 18, 2024, in Miami, Florida.
