Snake invasion found in million-pound house for sale in Ohio: ‘What the Hell’

A man restoring an Ohio home was shocked when he discovered what was sliding beneath the plastic covering on the carpet.

Chuck Taylor, 49, is a real estate repairman in Cleveland, Ohio, and was inspecting an area home for investors and real estate agents. When he entered the house, he made the shocking discovery snakes which had found their way under plastic wrap covering the carpets of the house.

‘We don’t know how this one snakes have entered the building and ended up under the protective plastic and died under the plastic,” Taylor said Newsweek.

Taylor shared a video of the discovery on Instagramwhich has been viewed more than 500,000 times, showing the startling sight he was greeted with when he began inspecting the property. The clip shows the snakes under the plastic cover as Taylor pans the camera around the empty room to show viewers how many there are.

“I’m now in a million-dollar building that’s been renovated and I’m just doing my routine walkthrough,” he says in the clip. “There is a snake that crawled under the plastic and died.”

Taylor continues, “But it’s not the only one.” He then walks across the room to reveal two more snakes under the plastic in another spot. He then shows a fourth snake he found in the room.

‘This is creepy. I’ve never seen it an invasion of snakes”, says the repairman.

Taylor told Newsweek: “I was quite shocked as I did not expect this during a routine inspection of such a luxurious property.”

There are more than 150 different species of snakes in the US. Texas is the state with the most species as it has 68 species. Ohio, meanwhile, has 28, most of which are common and harmless.

People used the comments on Taylor’s video to share their thoughts on what they saw. One Instagram user, @trinm111, wrote: “Where do they come from is the question.”

User @helenr0211 commented: “Imagine how many people DIDN’T get stuck under the plastic… They’re in there somewhere.”
