Heated Debate! How Far Should Republicans Go to Win?

A group of anti-Trump Republicans, including Adam Kinzinger, are asking you to vote against your interests to “save democracy” after you staged a de facto coup against Biden. Lane and Gerald then began arguing about the Constitution.

Kamala’s honeymoon is coming to an end as she struggles to maintain the boost she got after Biden withdrew. While the DNC can technically choose any candidate it wants, Lane and Gerald disagree on whether or not that should be allowed.

“Republicans are talking like Machiavellians, Democrats are acting like Machiavellians because they want to win. They’ve done what they can within the rules and Republicans are caught flat-footed,” Lane said. “Kamala’s here, deal with it. Get back to reality and beat her with the problems. Let’s stop harping on about things we can’t fix.”

While Gerald agrees with this, he believes that some adjustments and rules need to be put in place later to prevent this from happening again. He added that he would not support a replacement for Trump even if he were down 10 points. But this is why Lane thinks Republicans are losing.

“If you can’t run a candidate who can win the primary, you don’t deserve to win the general election,” Gerald said. “We should put rules in place going forward to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Gerald added that he would like to see an “open primary in every” election.

“The party leaders had to go out and force Joe Biden out, saying there’s no money if he wants to keep running. Does that sound like what we’re supposed to have in this country? Does that sound like what democracy looks like?” Gerald said. “I guarantee you it’s a hair’s breadth from the kind of totalitarian bullshit we see in other countries. That’s why I’m upset, not because our guy might lose.”
