The poll was conducted among more than 1,500 young voters in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada and Wisconsin between August 16 and 20.

When choosing their candidate, the majority of respondents said jobs, the economy and the cost of living were their top concerns. When asked which candidate they trusted most to address this issue, the gap between the candidates narrowed considerably, with 38% citing Harris and 33% citing Trump.

Early in her campaign, the vice president was able to gain an advantage over her opponent and her predecessor, President Joe Biden. In the Biden-Trump race, the vote split among 18-34 year-olds was much more balanced, with 53% for Biden and 47% for Trump.
