Man Utd ‘ready’ for record-breaking bid for Harry Kane as Amorim Ratcliffe ‘orders’ to secure major coup

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have both reportedly ‘ready’ £107m to lure Harry Kane from Bayern Munich as Ruben Amorim has ‘ordered’ the signing at Old Trafford.

United have struggled with form this season, leading to the sacking of Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils were fourteenth in the Premier League when he was sacked and replaced by Ruben Amorim.

The new boss is now at the helm and will have to pick up the pieces from the bottom half of the table after United outscored 15 Premier League sides this season.

To counter that, the new boss plans the huge snare of the England captain Kaneaccording to El National.

The report claims that United and PSG both have €130 million ‘ready’ to lure Kane away from German giants Bayern.

It is reported that Amorim has ‘ordered the purchase’ of Kane, who is believed to be able to ‘lead the project’ at Old Trafford.

It is also stated that PSG ‘regrets’ not having signed a goalscorer to replace Kylian Mbappé, and therefore wants to do so with Kane.

As such, United will double down on the French club’s regret if they look to beat them to the signing of the Englishman.

United ready to break transfer record

If Kane were to be signed for United, the fee of £108 million would break their transfer record. The highest amount they have paid for a player to date was the £89 million they signed Paul Pogba for in 2016.

Kane would also cost the same as the Red Devils’ last two signings combined.

They landed Rasmus Hojlund for £72m last summer, ahead of Joshua Zirkzee for £36.5m in July, which equates to just over £108m for the pair.

But they are not in the best form in front of goal this season, with Hojlund scoring two goals in twelve games and Zirkzee scoring once in seventeen games.

There have been reports that Zirkzee will be shipping soon, and these continue, with a report stating United will listen to offers for him in Januarywith a possible return to Serie A on the horizon.

Sporting CP forward Viktor Gyokeres’ dream is said to be to become a top player at United, although that move won’t be possible until the 2024/2025 season.

United have also been linked with a move to Chelsea for the Blues’ Christopher Nkunku willing to let him go if they receive £52 million.

Meanwhile, it has been said that Amorim will be cleared to spend in January.

Kane starring at Bayern

As you would expect, Kane is flourishing as a regular goalscorer for Bayern, but the sheer frequency of his goals is a bit staggering.

Scoring 44 goals from 45 games in his debut was exactly the kind of introduction Kane would have wanted to make in Germany, even if Bayern did not win the Bundesliga title.

And he has started this season with an even better ratio, averaging more than one goal per game – thanks in part to two hat-tricks and another four goals.

If Kane were to return to English football, he would be backing himself to continue his exceptional form in front of goal. In his final season at Tottenham he scored 32 times, taking him to 280 for the club.

The last time Kane failed to score more than 20 goals in a season, he was 20 years old. He is now 31 and apparently still at the peak of his powers.

The all-time Premier League goals record would be in his sights should he return to his homeland, as he currently sits second in the table and 47 goals clear of Alan Shearer.

While time would normally be against a player his age, Kane’s current form shows just how consistent he still is and can remain for years to come. Whatever happens in the coming years, he will undoubtedly deal with it.
