Taylor Swift Supports Friends Sabrina Carpenter and Zoe Kravitz on Instagram, But STILL Stays Silent on Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us

Taylor Swift showed her support for two of her friends’ latest projects on Friday.

Despite raising eyebrows for not promoting longtime friend Blake Lively’s new film It Ends With Us, which features her 2020 track My Tears Ricochet, the 34-year-old pop star sweetly gave a nod to Zoe Kravitz for her directorial debut Blink Twice.

“This movie is incredible,” the 14-time Grammy winner said of the new psychological thriller, which Kravitz co-wrote with ET Feigenbaum. “Thrilling, twisted, wickedly funny and visually stunning.”

She continued, “The performances are phenomenal. Zoe Kravitz conceptualized this film, wrote it, focused on every detail and executed it with a clear and bold vision. I am so blown away by what she has accomplished here and I can’t wait for everyone to experience this film and this brilliant filmmaker.”

The Fortnight hitmaker also shared a trigger warning for Blink Twice as she warned her followers that the film contains “mature themes and depictions of violence, including sexual violence.”

“This may be disturbing or upsetting to some viewers,” Swift warned under a photo of the Blink Twice movie poster, which featured a photo of Channing Tatum.

The billionaire, who concluded the European leg of her Eras Tour in London on Tuesday, was also complimentary of SAbrina Carpenter, who released her sixth album Short ‘n Sweet on Friday.

“Short (check mark emoji). Sweet (check mark emoji). Made an amazing album (check mark emoji). Go support our girl!!,” she urged her fans.

Along with sharing a link to purchase the former Disney Chanel star’s latest record, Swift shared a photo of them together at a Kansas City Chiefs game.

The image was taken while they were cheering on Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team as they played against the New York Jets last October.

Last week, the Cats actress praised Post Malone for his new album, F-1 Trillion, on her Instagram Story.

“I was lucky enough to hear this incredible music on the set of the Fortnight video when (her brother) Austin (Swift) played it to me,” she captioned a snap of herself on set with Malone, 29, as she filmed the video for her album’s lead single, The Tortured Poets Department.

She concluded: “It’s amazing how versatile his art is,” she added, before complimenting him on a more personal level. “And (he) is just the most down-to-earth man in the world.”

Last month, Swift even promoted Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool & Wolverine movie.

“Over the past few years, I’ve watched one of my best friends on this planet pour his heart, soul, sweat, time, energy, jokes, pain, joy, rebellion, darkness, and magic into this film,” Swift wrote on her Instagram Story. “He created the best work of his life, and this movie feels like a portal of joy, a wild escape from reality, and an ab sandwich. I don’t know how he did it.”

She then joked: “But that’s just Hugh for you!”

Referring to Lively and Reynolds, Swift joked that it was just “a couple of strangers who barged into the photo” and that she and Jackman were “too polite to ask” to leave.

Following her recent posts, many Swifties began to wonder why the superstar hadn’t publicly endorsed or shown support for Lively’s film, It Ends With Us.

After sharing her posts supporting Carpenter and Kravitz, a fan asked on Reddit if “does anyone find it odd that Taylor has publicly supported Deadpool, Blink Twice, and Short n Sweet but nothing for It Ends With Us?”

“More likely Blake asked him not to do it. Blake’s strategy is to let this all slide, and Taylor promoting the movie… would just add fuel to the fire,” one replied.

Another speculated: “I think she’s too smart to support a campaign promoting a movie that focuses on domestic violence when her best friend chose to advertise it by making sure her brand of alcoholic beverages gets enough attention.”

A third pointed out that when promoting Kravitz’s film, Swift added a trigger warning, so “her PR team is definitely aware of the drama and is very cautiously steering around it.”

Her silence is somewhat unusual since she and Lively have had a close friendship for nine years.

The former Gossip Girl actress and her husband have chosen Swift as their children’s godmother.

The Bad Blood singer even included the names of Lively and Reynolds’ three eldest children in his song. track, Betty, from her 2020 album Folklore.

When she accepted her third Album of the Year award in 2021, she acknowledged Lively’s children during her speech.

“I want to thank James, Inez and Betty and their parents, who are the second and third people I listen to every new song I write,” she said.

Over the past two years, Lively has taken her daughters to several Eras Tour concerts to see Swift perform live.

In 2022, Swift tapped Lively to direct the music video for her song I Bet You Think About Me.
