28-year-old hit killed near US 27 in Colerain Township

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) – Colerain Township Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian over the weekend.

According to a news release from Colerain Township, a 28-year-old woman was struck in the area of ​​US-27 and West Kemper Road around 12:26 a.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, the woman was pronounced dead.

The car that struck the woman remained at the scene, police said.

US-27 was shut down for about an hour and a half, she added.

Police did not identify the woman in the news release.

The crash is currently still under investigation.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to call Colerain Township Police at 513-321-2677.

clarification: Colerain police initially said the victim was 25 years old. At 11:15 a.m. on November 11, police sent a correction saying the victim was 29 years old. A second statement was released by police, stating that the victim died at the age of 28, but that her birthday was on November 11.
