It appears the Dallas Cowboys franchise has yet to fully recover from the embarrassment it suffered at the hands of Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the NFL playoffs at its home field, AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Not only did the Cowboys’ management do virtually nothing to improve their team during the NFL offseason, they also failed to secure the long-term futures of two of their best players, with the team seemingly stalling on a contract extension with star quarterback Dak Prescott and unable to agree to a new deal with star receiver CeeDee Lamb.

While not reaching an agreement with Prescott may not be all that surprising given his age (31) and the fact that he may not be the right quarterback to lead the future, not reaching an agreement with one of the game’s elite receivers is puzzling, to say the least.

Things seem to have gotten so bad with these contract negotiations with Lamb that no one knows exactly what’s going on, which is worrying as the season approaches.

However, Lamb is staying busy and letting everyone know it, as he recently did in a revealing post on his Instagram account.

“I work hard so my family can relax, I got out of that part where they don’t let you live,” Lamb wrote on Instagram. “Give him my heart, because he gave me something real. Keep it up, Trimm.”

At this point, no resolution appears to be in sight, but the pressure is on with the Week 1 game against the Cleveland Browns on September 8.

The Cowboys will probably try to do something because it won’t be a good thing if they head into the season without dealing with Lamb.
