‘Masterful shapeshifter’ Walz gets clear message from Minnesota voters during state fair booth

The Minnesota State Fair is in full swing this week, with attendees seen lining up at a popular anti-Tim Walz booth to win “Never Walz” prizes after the Gopher State governor came in second on the 2024 Democratic presidential ticket.

“Never Waltz,” read a huge sign posted at a booth at the State Fair, which drew long lines of people waiting to receive “Never Waltz” fans and T-shirts, Fox News Digital has learned.

The booth was set up by the conservative nonprofit Action 4 Liberty MN, which allows attendees of the nation’s second-largest state fair to spin a wheel to win “Never Walz” signs and apparel.

“Our amazing supporters are spinning the wheel for a chance to win a free “Never Walz” T-shirt and fan. We are a nonprofit that promotes freedom by exposing RINOs and leftists when they betray freedom, and we are working to mobilize our army of grassroots supporters and train them to wield their individual political power as effectively as possible,” Erik Mortensen, Action 4 Liberty leader and former Republican state representative from Minnesota, told Fox News Digital on Tuesday.

The Minnesota State Fair, which opened Saturday and runs through Labor Day weekend, is expected to draw 2 million visitors. The “Never Walz” booth is a popular attraction on the fairgrounds. Mortensen said that while they don’t sell the famous fair food, “our lines are longer than most food booths.”

WALZ FACES ANOTHER CHARGE OF MISREPRESENTATION IN TERRIBLE, CRITICAL LETTER: ‘DELETE ALL REFERENCES’

Walz is currently serving his second term as governor of the Gopher State, after serving in Congress as a representative from Minnesota from 2007 to 2019.

Mortensen, who served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 2021 to last year, is part of Action 4 Liberty’s leadership team and said the grassroots group has long highlighted how Walz “destroyed our state.”

FLASHBACK: OBAMA WAS ONE OF THE FIRST DEMOCRATS TO SUPPORT WALZ AT THE DAWN OF HIS POLITICAL CAREER

“Action 4 Liberty has been leading efforts in Minnesota for years to expose Governor Walz’s power-hungry ways. In 2021, our booth at the State Fair was themed “Never Again,” referencing Walz’s unconstitutional lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates. The booth was used to promote my “Never Again” bill that would remove the governor’s ability to unilaterally declare a state of emergency and elect himself “King of Minnesota.” We Minnesotans know Walz best. He claims to be a Midwesterner, but he’s a touchy, power-hungry tyrant who has destroyed our state and repeatedly violated Minnesotans’ freedoms,” Mortensen said when asked about the motivation and history behind the booth.

TIM WALZ CRIMINALIZED AS ‘POLITICAL CHAMELEON’ AFTER ABANDONING OLD STANDING ON SECOND AMENDMENT

Videos posted on social media show long lines of fans waiting for their chance to spin the ‘Never Walz’ wheel, with Mortensen saying the response from booth attendees has been “overwhelming”.

“The state fair officials and the state fair police officers had to ask us several times to move our lane off the road and closer to the curb,” he said.

“Most people in the queue say to us, ‘I’ve been trying to find your booth all day.’”

TRUMP CAMP SAYS ‘DANGEROUSLY LIBERAL’ HARRIS-WALZ TICKET IS ‘EVERY AMERICAN’S NIGHTMARE’

Walz jumped to second place on the Democratic presidential ticket earlier this month when Vice President Kamala Harris named him as her running mate. Harris became the party’s nominee after President Biden withdrew from the race last month amid growing concerns about his mental acuity and age of 81.

Walz joined his party in Chicago last week for the DNC, where he formally accepted the nomination to run alongside Harris, and invoked his Midwestern, veteran and teacher background as he rallied support at the convention.

“Growing up in a small town like this, you learn to look out for each other. That family down the street may not think like you, may not pray like you. They may not love like you. But they’re your neighbors. And you look out for them. And they look out for you. Everybody has a place. And everybody has a responsibility to contribute,” he said of his childhood in Nebraska before moving to Minnesota.

“For me, it’s military service in the National Guard. I enlisted two days after my 17th birthday and proudly wore our nation’s uniform for 24 years. My father, a Korean War-era Army veteran, died of lung cancer a few years later. He left behind a mountain of medical debt. Thank goodness for Social Security survivor benefits.”

Mortensen didn’t mince words in his comments to Fox Digital about Walz’s record in Minnesota, calling him a “masterful shapeshifter” who “transforms himself into whatever image he feels he needs to adopt to improve his political standing.”

“Walz signed a law that strips parents of their parental rights if they refuse to allow their minor children to have sex reassignment surgery. Walz signed the most extreme abortion law that places NO limits on abortion. Because of Walz, 13-year-old girls can now get full-term abortions, at taxpayer expense, in Minnesota, without even telling their parents,” Mortensen said of Walz’s record.

VAN JONES: WALZ MUST ADMIT HE EXAGGERATED HIS MILITARY RECORD SO DEMOCRATS COULD ‘MOVE ON’

Mortensen said that if elected, Walz would “rule with an iron fist and seek to destroy freedoms, all with a goofy smile on his face.”

“Governor Walz is a dictatorial tyrant with an insatiable appetite for power. He has made a living amassing that power by being a shapeshifting politician who creates a persona he believes will successfully fool voters just long enough to get elected,” he said.
