Browns to release interesting young player Steelers may consider

Dozens of names will be released over the next eight hours, some of which NFL teams have released to trim their rosters to 53. Many will return to their original teams on the practice squad, while others will seek out new teams where they hope to make an impact.

As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, we expect to see moves to help strengthen some needed positions like offensive tackle, wide receiver or cornerback.

But what about a guy just because?

According to reports, the Cleveland Browns will release defensive tackle Siaki Ika. Ika is a player we liked a lot as a nose tackle before the Steelers draft. The Browns selected Ika in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Ika got lost in the shuffle in Cleveland and only played four games. He’s a no-risk, high-reward player, but could really help the team if he’s motivated and ready to play.
