Active fire on Franklin St.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Dispatch has confirmed that a working fire has been reported on the west side of Evansville.

Officials say the fire is located at Franklin St. and 7th St.

Franklin and Fulton are currently closed, according to police.

They say a train is also blocking the other side of Franklin St.

Our crew on the scene spoke with several people who said they heard and felt an explosion just minutes after the fire alarm went off.
