The SWAT team arrests a local man accused of killing his father in Clackamas County

A 34-year-old Wilsonville man has been arrested after authorities say he killed his father.

The Clackamas County SWAT team took Michael Morris McCann into custody early Sunday morning, November 10, at his Wilsonville apartment. Video from a KATU viewer shows McCann being handcuffed after lying face down on a sidewalk.

On Saturday, November 9, officers responded to a report of a suspicious circumstance at a residence on South Ellis Road in unincorporated Clackamas County, south of Molalla. When they arrived, they found 70-year-old Michael James McCann deceased, officials said in a news release.

Michael McCann was booked into the Clackamas County Jail on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon, officials said.

McCann is being held without bail. The case is still under investigation.
