Former Watertown teacher convicted of raping student

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – A former Watertown teacher and coach is going to prison for raping a student.

33-year-old Jordan Bakken had sexual contact with a 15-year-old while they were out of town for tournaments.

He took a plea deal and admitted to one count of rape in June.

This afternoon, a judge sentenced him to 10 years behind bars.
