Randall High School student arrested after hoax bomb threat

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Amarillo police say a Randall High School student has been arrested after making a false bomb threat.

On Tuesday, police say a student alerted staff at Randall High School after seeing a social media post about a possible bomb in a school bathroom.

In response, police say the school was put on hold while officials investigated.

Officers and school staff determined the device was a hoax and that there was no threat to students or staff.

After an investigation, police say 17-year-old Cesar Alcocer has been identified as the person who filed the false report.
