Ohtani, right headline 2024 – NBC New York

The best hitters of the 2024 MLB campaign received their recognition.

MLB on Tuesday announced the winners of the Silver Slugger awards, which are given to the strongest hitters of the season.

On November 4, the finalists were named for all individual positions. Managers from all 30 clubs and three coaches from each club determined the winners. An offensive team of the year was also named.

Here’s a look at each American League and National League recipient:

American League

  • 1B: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays (second win)
  • 2B: Jose Altuve, Houston Astros (seventh win)
  • SS: Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals (first win)
