Arcata Fire District Board of Directors

When: Second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m.

Where: Arcata Station classroom: 631 Ninth St., Arcata.

• The board will meet in closed session for labor negotiations.

• The board will hold a public hearing on finalizing the annual 2024-25 budget.

• The board will consider an agreement with the Arcata Volunteer Firefighter’s Association for the acquisition of the Ninth Street station.

Arcata Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 5:30 p.m.

Where: City Hall Council Chamber: 736 F St., Arcata

• Tuesday’s meeting is canceled.

Fortuna Planning Commission

When: Second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: City Hall: 621 11th St., Fortuna

• Planners will consider a design review for a 4-foot by 8-foot electronic sign at 2020 Main Street.

Humboldt Bay Fire Joint Powers Authority

When: Second Wednesday of each month at 4 p.m.

Where: Humboldt Bay Fire Conference Room: 533 C St., Eureka,

• The board will hold a public hearing to finalize the 2024 annual budget.

• The board will hear a staffing update and receive a report on 9/11 from the chief.

• The board will meet in closed session to discuss the fire chief’s contract.

• The board will consider appointing Tim Citro the interim fire chief.

Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District

When: The second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.

Where: Woodley Island Marina meeting room, Eureka

• The Thursday meeting is canceled.

Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District

When: Second Thursday of each month at 9 am

Where: 828 Seventh St., Eureka

• The board will meet in closed session to discuss recruitment of a new general manager.

• The board will receive reports on operations, engineering and finances.

Humboldt Community Services District

When: Second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 5 p.m.

Where: 5055 Walnut Drive, Eureka

• The district will consider transferring funds to the California CLASS Joint Powers Authority.

• The district will consider reducing the minimum bid on vehicles declared surplus.

Humboldt County Board of Supervisors

When: Every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday of a month at 9 am

Where: Supervisors chambers: 825 Fifth St., Eureka

• The board will be asked to approve administrative penalties of $900,000 plus administrative costs for three properties accused of county violations.

• The board will hear 2021-22 audit reports.

• The board will meet in closed session at 11 am to discuss labor negotiations and legal matters.

• The board will hear a report on the climate action plan.

• The board will consider responses to grand jury reports on child welfare services, behavioral health and county hiring.
