Ohio man dies two days after being beaten with skateboard

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) — The man who was beaten with a skateboard Friday died of his injuries Sunday.

Adrian Ashely, 46, allegedly attacked Timothy Davis, 64, with a skateboard on Friday, according to WCMH. Davis suffered serious head injuries in the fight and died from his injuries at 12:15 p.m. Sunday.

Police initially arrested Ashely for felonious assault, but he was later charged with murder on Sunday, according to WCMH. Ashley was scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday.

According to WCMH, he was sentenced to three years in prison in 2004 for involuntary manslaughter and felonious assault.
