“I don’t really believe in scuba diving,” Hill said. “I don’t believe in all that. I believe in bringing people together because that’s my purpose in life. I do soccer camps all over the world to try to bring different people together… because we’re all in this together, baby. We’re on this Earth together. We’ve got to live together.”

“So when I say, ‘Let’s make a change,’ let’s do it together. So the Miami PD, really every officer around the world, one officer doesn’t make the whole group look bad. Everybody’s got bad apples. Every team has bad apples. It’s my job to use my platform and my resources to be able to align with those different stations.

“We’ve tried everything. We’ve protested. We’ve even kneeled. We’ve marched. So what’s next? My wife and I are thinking about how we can be a part of this change. It’s important to us. We want to be able to change lives all over the world, not just in Miami.”

LAWYERS FOR MIAMI-DADE POLICE OFFICER INVOLVED IN TYREEK HILL INCIDENT SPEAK OUT

Hill said that if he had not been a famous athlete, the story would have been different, suggesting he could have been shot or taken to prison.

Body camera footage released earlier Monday captured the intense moments when Miami-Dade police officers arrested Hill, then removed him from his vehicle and placed him in handcuffs as the situation escalated.

The Dolphins have called for the officers involved in the incident to be punished.
