Video obtained by Reuters showed firefighters battling a blaze in at least one of the tents and what appeared to be cans of canned food lying among the rubble.

The attack on the tents came after the Israeli army said on Tuesday it had delivered hundreds of parcels of food to closed areas in northern Gaza.

On the same day, US President Joe Biden’s administration concluded that Israel is not currently obstructing aid to Gaza and therefore does not violate US law, the State Department said, even as Washington acknowledged that the humanitarian situation in the Palestinian enclave remains was dire.
