The Fargo City Commission is considering a revised turn signal law

FARGO, ND (Valley News Live) – Fargo Municipal Code requires drivers of motor vehicles to signal only when turning or merging impacts other vehicles. North Dakota law requires drivers turning or merging to signal in all turning and merging situations.

In light of this, the City Commission voted Monday to direct the City Attorney’s Office to draft revisions to Fargo’s municipal law to bring the city law into line with North Dakota law on when signals are required.

City commissioners will consider the revisions and possibly take action at a future meeting.

During the 2023 legislative session, North Dakota’s turn signal law was updated. You can read our previous coverage about this here.
