Abbie Chatfield slams ticket sellers for announcing the cancellation of her Trauma Dump tour via ‘cold’ text messages – after she was forced to cancel dates due to low ticket sales

Abbie Chatfield has slammed ticket sellers who allegedly informed fans of show cancellations via “cold and random” text messages.

The FBoy Island host’s upcoming national Trauma Dump tour has hit a snag due to low ticket sales, forcing her to cancel a string of shows.

Abbie, 29, has so far confirmed she has cancelled four of 13 scheduled shows – Ballarat, Port Macquarie, Caloundra and Cairns, cancelled due to low demand.

Abbie has now spoken out on Instagram about how the cancellations were allegedly communicated, sharing a screenshot sent by a fan of the offending text.

The direct message read: “Hello. Abbie Chatfield’s appointment for November 8, 2024 has been canceled.”

In response to the fan, Abbie said she felt “sick” about the Ballarat cancellation as she shared her disappointment.

“I’m so sorry. I feel terrible,” she wrote. “I wish I could do all the shows. I was looking forward to Ballarat so much.”

She later apologised to her fans in Ballarat and Cairns for the latest cancellations, while also lashing out at venues and ticket sellers for not doing a better job communicating the news to fans.

“Also I am very confused as to why Ballarat ticket holders were just sent a text message with no apology or information,” Abbie wrote in the lengthy message.

“I have no control over the specifics of what is communicated by venues or ticket sellers, BUT I have asked and been told you will receive an email.

“I was told that for the other cancelled shows (cairns and port Mac) there would be an email, but now I doubt it?

Abbie then lashed out, saying the lack of communication “wasn’t right” and once again apologized to fans for not being able to attend the scheduled shows.

“I think it depends on the venues and the cancellation systems, but I can’t seem to find a solution right now because I don’t like it at all,” she continued.

In another post, she lashed out at concert venues and ticket sellers for not doing a better job communicating the news to fans.

“Anyway, I say all this to apologize for how this was communicated if you received a cold, random text message announcing the cancellation,” she wrote.

“It’s shocking for me to read this, let alone for you who support me and were looking forward to the show like me. It’s just not possible,” she added.

This is Abbie’s second time in a year hitting the road with the Trauma Dump Tour after a successful run of shows in 2023.

“I enjoyed taking you through this trauma so much that I had to do the regional tour!!!” Abbie explained in a post first announcing the upcoming concert series.

“Same show as last year, adapted to my regional babies!… I can’t wait to see you all.”

Last year, Abbie wowed fans with her candid live chats as she discussed vulnerable stories about her long dating history.

One of the highlights of the show was Abbie’s interaction with her live audience via text messages.
