UFC 306 Live Blog: Daniel Zellhuber vs. Esteban Ribovics

This is the UFC 306 live blog for Daniel Zellhuber vs. Esteban Ribovics, a lightweight main card matchup this Saturday in Las Vegas.

Undefeated when he entered the UFC in 2022, Zellhuber was immediately dealt a setback, losing his debut to Trey Ogden. Since then, the 25-year-old Mexican fighter has been flawless, with wins over Lando Vannata, Christos Giagos and Francisco Prado.

Like Zellhuber, Ribovics entered the UFC as an undefeated prospect and dropped his debut, losing to Loik Radzhabov. The 28-year-old Argentinian has since rebounded, winning two straight fights, including a 37-second knockout over Terrance McKinney last May.

Zellhuber and Ribovics now face off to see which hot prospect will continue to climb the 155-pound division ladder.

Round 1:

The outfits get even crazier for the ring girls. Alright, here we go. Ribovics charges forward and takes a hard body kick before an uppercut from Zellhuber. He gets another one in as they close in. A head kick attempt is partially blocked by Zellhuber. Ribovics strikes to the leg. Ribovics continues her good leg kicks.

Zellhuber throws a hard body kick as he tries to keep distance. Palms are open, almost misses a poke in the eye. Nice boxing combination lands two body shots then two more high for Zellhuber. Left hook narrowly misses in an exchange for Zellhuber. Ribovics double feints superman. Interesting.

Zellhuber lands a left hook and a push kick. Another nice multi-punching combination destroys Ribovics. Zellhuber kicks the inside of the leg just before the horn.
