Vote for Cunningham Bounds’ Coastal Football Player of the Week

This year again, readers have the opportunity to vote for the Cunningham Bounds Coastal Alabama Football Player of the Week.

Coaches can submit statistics after their games on Friday nights or nominate players before noon each Saturday.

Nominations must be made by an official team coach or statistician and can be emailed to [email protected].

Voting is open until Wednesday morning. The winner will be announced on AL.com on Thursday.

Here are the nominees for week 4:

Dillon Alfred, Saraland: The Ole Miss coach caught 10 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns as the Spartans crushed Spanish Fort.

Carlos Benjamin, Vigor: Benjamin finished with 15 carries for 121 yards and a 43-yard touchdown run as the Wolves remained undefeated with a win over UMS-Wright.

PJ Brown, Mobile Christian: Brown ran for 155 yards and a TD on 21 carries as the Leopards won on the road.

Blake Brunick, Orange Beach: Brunick scored five touchdowns in the Makos’ home win over WS Neal. The junior ran for four touchdowns and caught a TD pass. He also had an interception and a forced fumble.

JJ Bush, Theodore: The junior back rushed 21 times for 234 yards and two touchdowns as Theodore beat Baldwin County 28-7.

EJ Crowell, Jackson: Crowell rushed for 251 yards on 24 carries to lead Jackson, ranked No. 1 in Class 4A, to a 20-13 victory over 7A-ranked Baker on Thursday.

Shondell Harris, Mary G. Montgomery: Harris threw four touchdown passes, all in the first half, as Class 7A ninth-ranked Mary G. Montgomery shut down Robertsdale. He finished 9 of 13 passing for 210 yards.

Myles Johnson, TR Miller: The Florida commit ran for 205 yards on seven carries and scored on touchdown runs of 7, 60, 2 and 96 yards – all in the first half – as Class 3A top-ranked TR Miller beat Flomaton 56-7.

Saverio Lyons, LeFlore: Lyons ran for 117 yards and also had a 52-yard touchdown reception as LeFlore picked up his first win of the season. He also had seven tackles, including a tackle for loss on the final play of the game.

Anthony Frasier, St. Paul: Frasier rushed for 100 yards and two TDs on 12 carries as the Saints blanked Murphy 41-0.

Gunner Rivers, Saint-Michel: Rivers threw four touchdown passes as St. Michael, ranked No. 8 in Class 4A, remained undefeated with a 45-7 victory at Satsuma. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 386 yards in three quarters of action.

Turner Tillman, St. Luke: The sophomore RB/LB caught a TD pass, blocked a punt and made 11.5 tackles in his team’s win over Central-Hayneville. He caught four passes for 68 yards and made five tackles for a loss.

Kolin Wilson, Gulf Shores: The Mississippi State coach ran for 313 yards and four touchdowns in the Dolphins’ win at McGill-Toolen.
