Father wanted after being accused of killing mother at E. Houston birthday party

HOUSTON – A Houston man is now wanted after being accused of killing the mother of his children at a birthday party Thursday night.

Jalin J. Forman, 27, has been charged with murder and is not currently in custody.

The Houston Police Department said the incident happened on Locksley Rd. near Tidwell Drive and Wayside Dr. shortly after 8:30 p.m.

The victim, Jalen Whitlock, 25, was celebrating the birthday of one of his two children, ages six and two. The group was at a townhouse to celebrate the event, along with the woman’s boyfriend.

According to witnesses, Foreman arrived at Whitlock’s home and began yelling at someone. He then pulled out a gun and began shooting into the house. Whitlock was hit by the gunfire. No one else in the house was injured, but the children and her boyfriend witnessed the attack.

When HPD officers and HFD paramedics arrived on scene, Whitlock was found unconscious in the doorway and pronounced dead.

Foreman left the scene in a white Chevrolet Tahoe after the shooting.
