Meet your 2024 Homecoming short

Sep. 16—Newton High School announced on Sept. 12 that eight boys and eight girls from the senior class were voted in to the Homecoming court this year, and in just one week the community and the school district will get to welcome their new king and queen as they parade through the downtown.

The 2024 NHS Homecoming king candidates are: Cade Bauer, Ezra Bartell, Jose Benitez, Landon Bozarth, Zane Munger, Peyton Rozendaal, Damien Smith and Derek Wermager.

The 2024 NHS Homecoming queen candidates are: Paige Benson, MeLayna Budinich, Alex Garvis, Macy Lampe, Ella Machin, Peyton Ray, Alex Riney and Delaney Woollums.

Homecoming king and queen will be crowned during coronation on Sept. 19 in the upper gymnasium at Newton High School. The parade will be held that same day at 6 pm, followed by a pep rally in the town square. The NHS dodgeball tournament will be held at 7:35 pm in the upper gym after the parade.
