Identity of Wellsville murder victim released | News, Sports, Jobs

WELLSVILLE — Robert Herron, 30, has been confirmed by Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino as the shooting victim in a murder that occurred on 10th Street in Wellsville last week.

“We’ve offered our full assistance and cooperation to assist Wellsville in any way possible with their investigation,” Abruzzino said.

The Wellsville Police Department said they are continuing to work on the investigation, but they were not able to provide any additional information at this time.

According to news partner WKBN, Police Chief Eddie Wilson said there are two people of interest in the case and after further investigation charges will be filed. Wilson also confirmed the incident was a homicide.

Police officers made an arrest for an unnamed individual, who is a person of interest, for outstanding warrants Sept. 10, a day after the shooting.
