For Versace’s fall 2024 collection, Donatella Versace took inspiration from the Italian brand’s fall 1993 couture show, held at the Ritz Paris. Specifically, Donatella referenced the white collars that lined the black mini dresses worn by models like Helena Christensen and Naomi Campbell.

Olsen’s look, in particular, seemed to be inspired by an outfit Christensen wore on the runway. Christensen’s mini-shorts version featured sheer sleeves and piles of flashy jewelry. Olsen further dialed down the style of her dress on the runway, deciding to ditch the leather gloves and cherry red handbag that were shown for the fall 2024 season.
