Three Kerry competitors reach podium at NPC

Three Kerry competitors placed in the National Ploughing Championships yesterday, with four more competing today.

Colm Dineen from Causeway won the Senior 3-furrow conventional plough class, Tommy McCarthy from Abbeydorney came second in the Intermediate reversible plough class and Jonathan Trant from Tonavane came third in the Under 40 horse plough class.

Today, four more Kerry competitors will take part in the races in Ratheniska, County Laois.

  • Women’s Conventional Plow Class: Martina Flynn
  • Senior Horse Plow Class: Moss Trant
  • Loy Digging Junior Class: Donal Tydings

Causeway’s Colm Dineen won an All-Ireland title yesterday, having last won in 2022.
