Free exercise workshop offered to seniors – InForum

FARGO — A free exercise workshop hosted by Fargo Cass Public Heath is set to begin in October, and area seniors are encouraged to sign up for the 12-week program.

The evidence-based exercise and behavior change workshop, called “Fit and Strong!”, aims to improve lower limb strength and develop and maintain an active lifestyle.

The bi-weekly classes will be aimed at seniors or people with lower limb osteoarthritis and will include 60 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of group discussion and health education.

Classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at two locations/times:

  • 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Olivet Lutheran Church, 1330 S. University Drive.
  • 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fargo Cass Public Health main building, 1240 25th St. S.

The first session is scheduled for October 8 and the last session will take place on January 9, 2025.

Registration is required. For more information or to register, contact the Fargo Cass Public Health Department at 701-241-1384.

Our newsroom sometimes publishes articles under the byline “staff.” Often, the byline “staff” is used when rewriting basic news stories from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, that require little or no reporting. Sometimes, this byline is used when a news story includes multiple authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported information from a variety of sources. If outside sources are used, this is indicated in the story.
