Capela has been Young’s teammate for four seasons.

During that span, they helped the Hawks qualify for the NBA playoffs three times.

The Hawks also reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.

Capela finished last season averaging 11.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the field in 73 games.

Before being traded to Atlanta, he spent the first six seasons of his career with the Houston Rockets.

Despite good seasons from Capela and Young, the Hawks are coming off a tough year where they finished tenth in the Eastern Conference with a 36-46 record.

They lost to the Chicago Bulls in the playoff tournament and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2020.
