The city of EU posted photos of the discovery on its Facebook page, writing: “The excavations have yielded, among other things, a moving and very special testimony. A message was discovered in a small 19th-century salt bottle accompanied by two coins; all contained in a ceramic pot. Located in an area that has already been excavated, it is a “time capsule” buried almost 200 years ago.”
