$20,000 reward offered after two high-powered Hellcat vehicles stolen from Lake Orion man

,000 reward offered after two high-powered Hellcat vehicles stolen from Lake Orion man

Gone in seconds: Two high-end vehicles were stolen from a driveway in metropolitan Detroit late last week.

An orange Hellcat TRX truck and a Dodge Durango Hellcat were stolen from a Lake Orion driveway. The getaway was caught on camera, but so far there has been no sign of the stolen vehicles or the people responsible.

The victim says he feels completely violated. The incident happened at night, just metres from where he and his family were sleeping. He has now lost two expensive vehicles, which is why he is offering a $20,000 reward if they are returned to him.

“We like power and that’s what we bought them for,” Tom Bailey said.

Early Friday morning, the security camera at Bailey’s house is triggered.

“I don’t know how they got into the vehicles because there were no broken windows or anything and when the cameras go on, that’s when they start backing up,” he said.

Unfortunately, Bailey didn’t realize what had happened until hours later.

“I came to collect the bins and that’s when I realised they had disappeared,” he said.

He immediately called the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office to report them missing – but so far, nothing.

“I’m going to offer a reward,” he said. “I’m putting up $10,000 for each vehicle, and a $20,000 reward if I can get them back.”

To add insult to injury, inside the only truck that was not stolen were prototype tracking devices.

“The Ram truck was equipped with both wireless tracking devices and wired tracking devices, for testing,” he said.

He said he was about a week away from installing the devices in the vehicles that were ultimately stolen.

Bailey says the whole situation is frustrating and demoralizing.

“You either live in a gated community or you don’t drive anything nice. It’s sad,” he said.

Bailey claims these were his personal cars. He is again offering $10,000 per vehicle if they are found and can be returned to him.
