The Celts

The two-time NBA All-Star played with the Celtics from 2015 to 2017.

Isaiah Thomas returned to the Celtics’ hometown on Monday and stopped at Boston College to play basketball with students and meet with fans.

The former Celtics point guard initially posted on X on Sunday, asking local colleges if their gyms were open so he could “come play basketball.” More than 200 area fans responded with available schools and recreation centers in the city.

Thomas ended up at Boston College’s Margot Connell Recreation Center, where the two-time NBA All-Star played against members of the men’s basketball team, met and talked with fans and took photos.

Thomas also hosted a meet-and-greet Monday night at Kowloon Restaurant, where he shared stories from his time with the Celtics and answered questions from fans who remembered him.
