Claire Saunders has shared her devastation after accidentally knocking over her dog in a “horrific” accident.

The Farmer Wants A Wife star took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday to detail the shocking incident, which left her beloved dog Moe injured.

She shared her “guilt and grief” as she recounted how Moe spent the night at the vet after the accident and was left with a fractured pelvis and spine.

“Yesterday I accidentally knocked Moe over! That had to be one of the most horrible events of my life to date,” she explained.

“He is in a serious but stable condition thanks to the incredible team at Charles Street Vets in Launceston.

“I can’t even begin to explain the guilt and grief I feel right now. Why didn’t I check twice to see if he was okay?”

“My little dog has been the absolute light of my life these past few months and some days I wouldn’t get out of bed without him. My happy, sweet little boy.”

She continued in another emotional message: “My heart is so tired! It survived the night.

“He has a fractured pelvis and a small fracture of the spine, I feel sick to my stomach knowing that I am responsible for it.

“Thanks for your kind messages of support, but I feel like a real jerk.

“The complications we’re dealing with now are nerve damage to his bladder, he can’t urinate on his own.”

Her latest heartbreak comes after Claire and her partner Andrew Coleman called off their wedding and ended their romance.

The couple met on the 13th season of Farmer Wants A Wife and confirmed their engagement in March this year, but called off their wedding in July.

In a post later shared on Instagram, Andrew said he was “proud” of them both despite their relationship failing.

“It was both exciting and humbling, reminding me how important love and connection are,” he said of his time on the Channel 7 reality show.

“In the midst of it all, an extraordinary woman captured my heart and we decided to take a chance. We moved in together, dreaming of a future where our love would grow alongside the farm. It was fast-paced, passionate and fun.”

He continued: “But life had other plans. Despite all the love and effort we both put in, sometimes things don’t work out as planned.

“Living together brought its own challenges and we realized that our paths were not meant to remain intertwined.

“It’s sad that our relationship ended, but I stand tall knowing that we gave it our all. Even though it didn’t get us where we hoped, it helped us grow.”

“It was a huge investment of heart and soul. And while it hurts to leave, we both came out stronger, wiser, and more in tune with what really matters.”

“As I move forward, I choose to celebrate the love we shared, the lessons learned, and the strength gained. No regrets, just gratitude.”

The fan-favorite couple found love on the 2023 series when they left the show early to pursue a relationship together.
