Boulder Announces Indigenous Peoples Day Events

The Boulder city government will host a series of events in October to recognize Indigenous Peoples Day, including a celebration hosted by Right Relationship Boulder at the Dairy Arts Center.

Every year, city staff support organizations that celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day “through events and celebrations that honour the existence, culture and contributions of the original inhabitants of North America,” according to a news release. This year, free community events are planned for Oct. 12-14.

Right Relationship Boulder will host an event from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 at the Dairy Arts Center, 2590 Walnut St., Boulder. The event will include panel discussions, Native music and dance, art and a food truck. Right Relationship Boulder will host the event in collaboration with the Northern Arapaho Tribe, the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, Creative Nations and the Rocky Mountain Indigenous Dancers.
