Ubisoft Announces Star Wars Outlaws Steam Release Date and Wild Card Expansion

Star Wars Outlaws is coming soon to Steam, and its launch will coincide with the release date of Star Wars Outlaws’ first DLC. Ubisoft made the announcement following the decision to delay Assassin’s Creed Shadows to February 2025, so it will launch alongside titles like Avowed and Monster Hunter Wilds. February really is the new November.

Regardless, the Star Wars Outlaws Steam release date is set for November 21, 2024. Ubisoft hasn’t said whether you’ll be able to transfer saves between the Connect version of Outlaws and the Steam version, but since you can upload your save data to Ubisoft’s cloud and transfer it to other platforms, it seems likely that Ubisoft will let you do that with Outlaws as well.

On November 21, 2024, Star Wars Outlaws’ first DLC expansion, Wild Card, will also be released on all platforms. As you might guess from the name, Star Wars Outlaws’ Wild Card expansion is all about Sabaac. Nix and Kay infiltrate a high-stakes tournament and face off against Lando himself (a challenge barely hinted at in the base game), and a free update launching alongside the expansion will add more contracts for all players. This is great news if you’re like me and tend to anger all factions, frequently.

Ubisoft’s current cross-progression guidelines for Star Wars Outlaws state that DLC purchases from the in-game store or platform store are tied to the platform you purchased them on, though you should be able to access them on other platforms by logging into the same Ubisoft account or linking your platforms to the same Ubisoft account.

Ubisoft is still working on a second story-driven expansion for Star Wars Outlaws, so you can expect to hear more about that in the coming months.
