Lena-Winslow football match cancelled

LENA, Ill. (WIFR) – The Lena-Winslow Panthers college football team was unable to find a team to play on Friday, September 27.

After the short-term cancellation, the Lena-Winslow Panthers varsity football team found itself looking for a team to play for Friday’s game.

Lena-Winslow failed to locate an opponent after numerous attempts.

They will get their 5th victory and qualify for the playoffs for the 25th consecutive season!

It’s been a quarter century since Le-Win last missed the playoffs. What a run!

No reason was given for the cancellation.

Mineral Point will still travel to Le-Win for the freshman-sophomore football game on Monday, Sept. 30 as scheduled.
