New dim sum and coffee spot opens in Causeway Bay

Enjoying tea with dim sum is something we know all too well – but how about pairing it with coffee? Bame Inn has just opened its doors in Causeway Bay, seamlessly blending Eastern and Western elements to offer a unique experience centered around dim sum and coffee. Inspired by the charm of old-fashioned inns, the space has an understated elegance that transports guests to another era.

The menu at Bame Inn is reasonably sized, offering a variety of dishes from modern takes on dim sum classics to bamboo steamed rice and traditional Chinese soups. Each dish features an abundance of flavors crafted by chefs who have worked in Michelin-starred restaurants. . Highlights include the spicy dim sum series, which features usual suspects like siu mai and shrimp dumplings with a mala twist; signature crab roe dishes like crab roe baked cake, golden crab roe dipped noodles, and crab roe soup balls; and dishes inspired by the royal court, including traditional Qianlong six-headed abalone.

Besides the food, Bame Inn offers a carefully crafted selection of drinks. Savor a signature coffee made with a blend of Colombian and Japanese beans, or opt for refreshing drinks like pear tea compote and non-alcoholic tea beer. For something sweet, don’t pass up the hostel’s “Tea” ramisu, presented in a pretty traditional clay pot.

Bame Inn is nestled behind Times Square in Causeway Bay at the Holiday Inn Express. Visit them Instagram page for more information.
