A luxury residential skyscraper, featuring a 16,000-square-foot open deck with a swimming pool and dozens of other amenities, is set to grace Nashville’s ever-changing skyline.

Once completed, the Paramount Tower will be crowned as Nashville’s tallest skyscraper at 750 feet, dethroning the AT&T Building – colloquially known as the “Batman Building” – which stands at 617 feet. According to a press release, Paramount Tower will be 60 stories tall and include 360 apartments, 140 condominiums, a 517-space parking garage and other associated amenities.

The tower, designed by Chicago architecture firm Goettsch Partners and developed by Giarratana LLC, will be located at 1010 Church St., across from the 19-acre Nashville Yards development, and will include a 60-square-foot “state” building. 000 square feet. “state-of-the-art addition” to the nearby downtown YMCA.

According to a press release, the Paramount project began in 2021, when the YMCA of Nashville initiated a request for proposal (RFP) process for the addition and renovation of its existing downtown facilities, as well as a opportunity to develop part of the one acre site. separately for a larger program.

Together, Goettsch Partners and Giarratana developed the winning design, with a proposal for a five-story YMCA addition at the corner of Church Street and YMCA Way, as well as an adjacent 60-story apartment and condominium tower.

“I am very excited to bring Paramount to downtown Nashville,” Giarratana President Tony Giarratana said in a statement. “As the new tallest tower on the skyline, I hope it earns its place as a treasured city landmark.”

Construction of the tower is expected to begin at the end of this year and be completed by 2027.

What will Nashville’s Paramount Tower look like? Plans include a yoga room, multiple lounges and a games room

Style, elegance and sophistication are at the center of the Paramount. The ground floor will feature a 30-foot-high clear glass lobby facing Church Street and a circular porte cochere, creating a “spectacular” entrance.

Differently angled glass surfaces, reflecting light in multiple directions, will reinforce the verticality of the building and further emphasize the “crown” of the building — a series of triangular glass surfaces, reserved for the upper four floors, which will create a diamond shape.

By differentiating the base, shaft and top of the building, the design aims to establish a distinctive presence in the city center.

Level nine equipment will include:

  • A residential lounge and a TV room.
  • Casual living room with demonstration kitchen.
  • Private dining room with 14 seats.
  • Fitness and yoga room.
  • Games room with billiards.
  • Coworking space with three private study rooms.
  • A 16,000 square foot open terrace with a swimming pool, 66 lounge chairs, four six-seat cabanas, four grilling stations and an outdoor exercise area.

Level 40 will feature condo amenities including a lounge and bar with a 23-foot ceiling, fireplace room and lounge, as well as a 25-seat private dining room and catering kitchen. Additional amenities include bike storage, a dog spa, and gated parking.
