JD Vance’s leaked DMs STILL show him trashing Donald Trump in 2020

JD Vance was privately criticizing Donald Trump’s performance as president just four years ago, according to a report.

Direct messages sent by the current Republican vice presidential nominee to an anonymous Twitter acquaintance, now known as X, show him condemning his future running mate’s record in office, according to The Washington Post. “Trump has simply failed to implement his economic populism (with the exception of a disjointed China policy),” Vance reportedly wrote in a February 2020 post.

In another message sent in June last year by Trump to the White House, Vance predicted that Joe Biden would win the 2020 election.

“I think Trump is probably going to lose,” Vance wrote at the time, referring to the election that he would later baselessly claim was stolen by Democrats.

Vance has previously highlighted Trump’s accomplishments as president by explaining how he went from being a vocal Trump critic in 2016 to a supporter in 2020; Vance famously went from comparing Trump to heroin and Hitler eight years ago to now describing him as “the best president” he’s ever seen in his life. His recently leaked messages suggest he was still highly critical of Trump long after he launched his most infamous public attacks.

In the post in which he predicted Trump would lose the 2020 election, Vance also allegedly indicated that he had been offered — and rejected — a certain type of job. “I have already declined my nomination to the Emperor,” Vance wrote with a winking emoji, according to the Jobafter the person he was messaging talked about the possibility of a government job offered by “Emperor Trump.”

Asked by his interlocutor about the position offered to him, Vance replied: “I’m not going to say it on Twitter Messenger.”

William Martin, a spokesman for Vance, told the Job that Vance’s comment that Trump had failed to implement his economic agenda was not aimed at the former president but rather at “establishment Republicans who thwarted much of Trump’s populist economic agenda aimed at raise tariffs and boost domestic manufacturing in Congress.”

“Fortunately, Senator Vance believes that Republicans in Congress are much more aligned with President Trump’s agenda today than they were then, so he is confident that they will not face the same problems within the party,” Martin added.

Vance’s campaign reportedly did not respond to questions about the prediction that Trump would lose to Biden in 2020 or the apparent job offer.
